We'll Be Back After A (Real) Short Break

8495Jazz is taking a break from publishing this week.

We’ll be back next week with a profile of - well, let’s just say, who doesn’t love a second line? Plus gig listings and maybe a pic or two from a short road trip we’re taking midweek.

In the meantime, here’s a little something from one of our favorite musicians, Takuya Kuroda. He played this in a show at Bombyx in Northampton a couple years ago and said he wrote it inspired by words from Roy Hargrove: “Drummers, sometimes it’s okay to play on the one. Trumpet players, sometimes it’s okay to play a pretty melody.”
