New Orleans trombonist Charlie Halloran brought his Tropicales up to New England last year, playing everywhere from southwestern Connecticut to Vermont. The 8495Jazz staff will be taking the Tropicales darn good time in on the band’s home turf this week on Frenchmen Street in New Orleans. (8495Jazz photo)
